The Courtois Bellecour B-flat cornet is a modern French-designed instrument developed by brass instrument maker Adrien Jaminet with input from international soloist Clément Saunier (Ensemble intercontemporain).

It takes its name from the Place Bellecour in Lyon—a location associated with the 19th-century cornet virtuoso Jean-Baptiste Arban—reflecting the instrument’s grounding in French brass tradition and pedagogy.

A well-balanced instrument that connects traditional French cornet design with modern build quality, it is designed to offer reliable intonation and an immediate response, supporting students as they develop control, sound production, and musical phrasing.
