The Stomvi Clapper valve is a small, cone-shaped brass bell that screws to the bottom of the valve pistons of compatible instruments. It acts as an additional resonator, reinforcing the instrument’s natural harmonics.
Stomvi describes the result as providing greater dynamic facility, helping the player to make better use of the instrument’s harmonic range.
