This Tuba Parade Harness, developed by German tubist Rudi Schwarz, has been designed specifically for marching bands, military musicians and other performers who require secure support whilst standing or on the move. Its distinctive ergonomic design allows the tuba to be carried comfortably in the stand-at-ease, attention and playing positions, enabling smooth transitions between each without removing or readjusting the harness.
Manufactured from durable black nylon, the harness features a fully adjustable double diagonal support system combined with wide, well-padded shoulder straps and a double chest safety strap. This arrangement provides secure support whilst allowing the instrument to be repositioned quickly as performance requirements change. The support system can also be configured to suit instruments carried on either side of the body, making the harness suitable for both continental and British brass band-style tubas.
The harness attaches to a carrying ring fitted to the instrument. If your tuba is not already equipped with one, a compatible D-ring adaptor is available separately.
