On-site workshop

Our on-site workshop supports your instrument’s health throughout its lifetime.

Your instrument is prepared and tested by our technicians before you’ve even bought it, and we offer regular servicing to keep your instrument healthy over the years. And if disaster strikes, we can repair or replace it – and help you navigate the insurance claim.

Routine servicing

Your instrument could last five, 10 or 20 years, depending on the care it receives.

Keeping it playable and resalable comes down to two things: regular cleaning, and regular servicing.

Our servicing includes:

  • Replacement consumable parts (felts, springs, corks, etc. – especially those parts that are hard to fit yourself, like a water key spring)
  • Preventative maintenance and advice from the experts
  • For brass, ultrasonic internal cleaning to remove build-up of bacteria you can’t see (protecting your health as well as your instrument's health)

Repairs

Accidents happen. Instruments get dropped, run over, thrown into luggage holds… Fortunately, our technicians have decades of expertise in repairing all kinds of damage, such as:

  • Dents and scratches
  • Broken parts
  • Stuck or bent valves/keys
  • And more

If your instrument is insured, we can help you through the claims process, and we offer low-cost solutions for the uninsured.

(It goes without saying that prevention is always better than cure. If your instrument is likely to be stored in a bandroom for a long time, brought on a plane, or otherwise placed in a vulnerable position, we recommend getting a travel case to ensure it’s well protected.)

Repairs under warranty

If anything goes wrong with your instrument during the warranty period, we can help.

Because our team includes authorised warranty technicians for major brands, we can identify the problem, fix it, and get your instrument back to you quickly with no fuss.

Insured repairs

We are authorised by major musical instrument insurers to carry out repairs, and we can also help you through the claims process.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You contact us and your insurer
  2. We assess the instrument and produce a report either:
    • Detailing the damage and the cost to repair or
    • Stating that the instrument is beyond economic repair (BER) and quoting a replacement price for the insurer
  3. You email the report to your insurer for approval
  4. We repair or replace your instrument
