The Vincent Bach Artisan professional trombone collection was first introduced in 2013. The A47I is one of the original three standard models in the series, and arguably the flagship of the original launch because it introduced Bach’s ‘Infinity’ valve system.

Its standard features include an open-wrap F attachment accessed by the patented ‘Infinity’ axial-flow (Thayer-style) valve, a hand-hammered yellow brass bell, and a reverse main tuning slide. The large-bore hand slide has yellow brass outer tubes and bottom crook.

Many players regard the early A47I and A47MLR instruments as belonging to a distinct first-generation Artisan concept, before the range shifted toward the later modular X-wrap architecture.
