Manufacturer’s description:
Ideal for beginners, improvers and advanced players, according to strength. The tuning and sound quality is second to none and they are excellent value for money.
These reeds are all hand-finished and should not need further adjustment. They have a long 'U' scrape which makes them free-blowing and easy-to-control.

Many professional oboists make their own reeds, but the process requires skill and specialist tools. Most novice oboe players begin by using medium-soft commercially produced reeds, progressing to harder ones as their technique develops. Reeds may be wired or unwired; the wire stabilises the reed opening and the choice between wired or unwired tends to be a matter of personal preference.
