The Yamaha 668D F/B-flat full double horn with detachable bell features a carefully designed leadpipe taper that contributes to enhanced mid and low register tone. The outer edge of the extra-large bell has been made a little thinner than usual, resulting in improved response. Pianissimo passages are easier to play, and a deep, satisfying tone is retained right up to the most commanding fortissimo.
Introduced in the mid-1980s, the YHR-668 is one of Yamaha's longest selling professional full double horns, with the second generation (Mark II) model appearing in the early 2000s.
Products marked as 'ex-demo' are offered at a reduced price because they have been used for inspection, demonstration or marketing purposes by the manufacturer or seller. They are not factory-sealed, but are sold 'as new' and are subject to a full mechanical warranty. In some cases they may have a limited cosmetic warranty. Item-specific condition reports are always available.
