The Buffet Festival model arrived in the late 1980s, a collaboration between the manufacturer and a trio of French classical clarinettists, all graduates of the Paris Conservatoire, distinguished professors and renowned performers: Jacques Lancelot (1920–2009), Guy Deplus (1924–2020) and Michel Arrignon (b. 1948).
It shares the famous R13 bore design and has similar features to the R13 Prestige model, but nevertheless has its own distinct sound profile designed to sit well in every period of the classical repertoire.
